The use of laser-activated irrigation (PIPS) for the root canal
This webinar will discuss and compare the efficacy of a new laser irrigation technique using photoacustics via PIPS (Photon Induced Photoacustic Streaming) as well as other commonly used irrigation techniques. It is widely accepted that the root canal morphology is highly complex.
It is composed of oval shape canals, isthmuses, fins and apical ramifications. These canal irregularities are challenging areas to thoroughly clean and disinfect. The use of light microscopy, confocal, SEM and bacteriological technology was used to compare the efficacy of the various irrigation techniques presented here.
