Endodontic Irrigation - The Primary Objective
Dr. Buchanan will review the history of established irrigation techniques, and then describe the advantages, disadvantages, and methods of action of these exotic new RC cleaning methods.
Irrigation is by far the most important aspect of RCT, yet it has advanced little as instrumentation and obturation technologies have been profoundly transformed. Recently, however, this third leg of the endodontic triad is finally getting the attention it deserves as we have seen laser-driven, GentleWave multi-sonic, and now closed-system negative pressure irrigation innovations brought to our operatories.
