Dr. Frederic Barnett received his DMD in 1978 and certificate in endodontics in 1981 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in the U.S. He received his board certification in endodontics in 1988. He served as the Director of the Postdoctoral Endodontic Program at the University of Pennsylvania and is currently the Chairman of the Department of Dental Medicine and chair and program director of postdoctoral endodontics at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was in private endodontic practice from 1981 to 2011.
Barnett has written numerous scientific and clinical papers and has lectured nationally and internationally on the treatment of endodontic infections, revascularization, dental trauma and contemporary endodontic treatment. He currently serves on the advisory board of Dental Traumatology and is an associate editor of the Journal of Endodontics. Barnett is a fellow of the International Association of Dental Traumatology, the International College of Dentists and the American College of Dentists.
